iis - Writing to an event log in ASP.NET on Windows Server 2008 IIS7 - Stack Overflow
You have to create an event source before you can write to the event log (if you don't, the Event log object tries to create one for you "automagically" the first time you write to the log). Basically while it is offline the source of the mirror tracks the changed blocks in an intent log, so when the failed server comes back online just the changed blocks are sent
However, your suggested change to the script doesn't alter the script's output in my testing, and I don't see how it could negatively affect anyone currently using the script, so I've incorporated your change just in case. Reply Kolawole March 22, 2012 at 5:02 pm So if your solution is limited to two sites then option1 will be the vaible option to implement by placing it in the primary site which involves some manual intervention?
