Seriously, what were they thinking ? (if you don't want to know what the spells do then skip next section) The fire damage spell, firestorm, is close range. A modder might as well change the spells to affect the weather outside, sunny, rainy, stormy, it would be more effective and useful than the current master level spells

Combined with the completely overpowered impact perk, every high level mage just stunlocks enemies over and over again with their zero cost spells until they die. If you're not sure if you're going to carry on using a skill don't spend perks on it - you can still level it up and get good at it, but perks are a commitment (sadly)

According to uespwiki it works though.I tried Become Ethereal yesterday with Fire Storm, all I needed was the first word of the shout to keep me protected while I cast the spell

Does the Destruction spell have to actually hit the target or is it enough for it to be done in its vicinity? Destruction spells must connect with a (non-corpse) target to award xp. If you don't want to waste time training it this way, I would suggest getting the rune master perk and using lots of runes while you go dungeon exploring

Is there a console command I can use for this particular matter? I just powerlevelled my destruction to 100 and it was a pain, and to only find out I can't get the spell tomes is just demoralizing. None of the Master-level spells are available anywhere until you've completed the corresponding quest for the particular master at Winterhold, who'll provide you with one of the Master-level spells and then be willing to sell you the others

I'm pretty sure I'd get more DPS spamming dual cast Fireballs than through Firestorm and it's a LOT safer, it staggers them through impact and is ranged. Iow if you are tired and wanna be bossy just use storm thrall and wait untel 1 dies and resummon an other one but if u want to stay on your spot like a turret use lightning storm and if you want a pure war go to a city kill someone do not pay you bounty conjure atronaches(and two if you have twin souls) use sanguin rose get a mage followers and call you dragon then call a hero of valor the mage one this would be the most epic war ever
