How to install OS 6 for my 9700?
For me, I usually just do an os upgrade using the DM alone: download the new os to my laptop, delete the vendor file (very important!), connect my phone via usb, open up the DM and follow the prompts to load the new os that is found available. With this process the DM will ask if you want to backup all data (I click yes) and then it reloads apps and data settings automatically after it loads the new os

Restoring my Blackberry Bold 9700 from OS 6 to OS 5
There are 2 options I have for you tyeo, and those are either to wipe your Bold 9700 using BBH-Tool, or BBSAK, until you see a 507 code on the device (it is completely normal), you will need to install the latest OS5 file (below) to your Bold 9700. Another option is too keep OS6.0 and shrink it using BBH-Tool, when used properly, it can save you a lot of storage application room for your Bold 9700
